Neeta Lulla is one of the most celebrated and respected names in the Indian fashion industry today. Counted amongst India’s top bridal fashion designers she has created nothing short of a legacy in the fashion and film industry in a career spanning over 40 years.

Starting her journey at the young age of 16, Neeta Lulla finished her formal education in Dressmaking and Apparel construction from SNDT University after which she got her first job with the famous fashion choreographer Jeanne Naoroji. Crediting her time there with valuable insights into the design and execution of fashion shows, she later returned to her alma mater, SNDT, as a lecturer, where she thoroughly enjoyed sharing her knowledge and teaching the next generation.

She was soon offered her first film project as a stylist. Embracing the opportunity wholeheartedly, Neeta Lulla impressed the industry with her creativity and expertise. Before long, she had established herself as one of Bollywood’s most celebrated costume designers, collaborating with some of the industry’s leading directors and actors.

Following her success in Bollywood, a growing clientele sought Neeta Lulla’s expertise, leading her to venture into bridal couture and trousseau consultancy. She soon launched her eponymous label, Neeta Lulla Couture, showcasing her first collection in Mumbai.

In 2005, she opened her flagship store in Mumbai to cater to her expanding clientele. The label’s offerings encompassed bridal couture, trousseau consultancy and diffusion wear. In 2008, she became one of the first designers to launch an online retail platform, followed by the establishment of a global distribution network spanning five continents by 2009. Responding to the growing demand for her creations, she expanded her retail presence with a second flagship store at DLF Emporio, Delhi, in 2016.

From defining iconic characters on screen to creating contemporary bridal couture, Neeta Lulla’s work celebrates the art of transformation, bringing together the richness of Indian craftsmanship, intricate detailing and modern silhouettes.
